by Todd Young Eclectus owners have observed their birds running along a surface with beak open and low to the ground. Our guess is that this is a natural feeding behavior of "skimming" tree branches or other surfaces for the insects and larvae prevalent in their native home, and/or skimming for standing rain water on branches or leaves. |
